Someone on a board I frequent (only not saying name cause I don’t know if they’d want me to say it) pointed out that this is also the 55th anniversary of the X-Men franchise.
Though not as big as a 50th anniversary milestone, it gives me some thoughts. Not only is it Polaris’ 50th anniversary, it’s also the X-Men’s 55th at the same time. This makes Lorna’s anniversary even more meaningful because she’s a gateway into the franchise as a whole.
One of the things that brought me to love Rosa from FF4 as my fave character before I learned of Polaris was Theme of Love. The song technically represents the relationship between Rosa and Cecil, but it always felt like it really represented Rosa and the love, hope and light she brings and inspires.
This is one rendition of the song with lyrics. It was made before the 3DS remake that led to the song being released as Tsukino Akari.
Okay so I don’t usually look at the blogs suggested to yall on my blog, but I realized that one of them is incredibly fucking racist and Im genuinely not sure why it’s on there at all
Yeah, unfortunately there are some blogs out there claiming they’re Polaris fans that are not only horrible, but horribly racist. I’m pretty sure the one you’re talking about is one of several I blocked for harassing me.
I hope the one you saw doesn’t give the impression Lorna fans are anything like that guy, cause we’re really not. All my mutual follows over Lorna are awesome inclusive types eager to see diversity both in general and with Lorna specifically. ❤

the impression Lorna fans in this hell site are
scary harasser and racist, because some self-proclaimed “Polaris fan” blogs harassed me over my SW:HoM fan art, and I also witnessed them harassing others… then my mutals privately told me who they really are.
Yeah, looking at my block list I have what I think is roughly 13-14 blogs blocked that are harassers and/or racists, and I strongly suspect most of those blogs are the same person under different names. Since I blocked all of them, I haven’t seen or received harassment or racism except that one time someone sent it to me as anon a month or two ago.
I’m thinking I’m going to buy the next issue of X-Men Blue.
Not really out of a desire to read it, but because X-Men Blue #28 specifically wasn’t bad like I thought it would be, and the arc as a whole didn’t do the damage I thought it would to Lorna as a character.
That doesn’t mean I think Lorna was used and written as well as she should be. But credit where credit’s due. It could’ve turned out horrid for Lorna and it didn’t. I wanna offer something after the complaining and worrying and negative expectations I’ve had over the past months.
