this is exactly why the pedo community on the internet needs to crash and burn cause you know all of these poor kids are being actively groomed by people who have fooled them into thinking theyre oppressed and thats absolutely fucking terrifying
burn all pedos and their communities. This is disgusting
@ my followers; i have heard a lot of things about this. do not follow or interact with anyone who has the word “MAP” on their profile page, especially if it says they are pro-contact- and especially if you are a minor.
one important thing to add; do not include pedophiles/maps in lgbt spaces. they do not belong there.
stay safe everyone!!!!
What exactly is a map?
map in this context stands for “minor-attracted person,” making it a flowery term for “pedophile”
Oh my god what the fuck that’s disgusting
Thank you for telling me I will be sure to never go near a map ever
I was fooled into this kind of stuff when I was a kid – pedophile support groups posing as LGBT resources. They weasel their “boylove” and “girllove” topics into LGBT spaces to intentionally deceive questioning youth into accepting their predatory bullshit.
It’s had long-lasting effects on my perceptions of sex and relationships. I don’t want any kid to ever go through anything like that, or worse.
It’s an adult responsibility to keep children safe online. Report these blogs when you find them, and if you suspect illegal activity, report that to authorities or websites like CyberTip.
so a racist got utterly demolished in less than 30 seconds on the New Zealand morning news on Monday and it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen
who knew a white guy could be capable of such an iconic response, he knows what’s up and is having none of that shit, every other white guy take notes tbh
I love that he said Pakeha
Can someone write what its being said in this?
Male co-host: We have had a whole heap of feedback regarding
Te Tai Tokerau MP Kelvin Davis’s proposal to institute a prison run on Māori
values into New Zealand. He’s looking at potentially establishing this prison
up north. It isn’t Labour policy just yet, it’s just an idea of Kelvin Davis’s.
And this has been really really divisive on our Facebook page this morning. (sarcastically)
Here I think we have the single greatest email, the single greatest message we
have ever had on breakfast.
(clears throat deliberately) “’Janice’ says: Good morning. I’m
sick of hearing that Māori need different treatment. If they don’t want to live
in our society, then maybe we should put them all on an island and leave them
to it.”
Male co-host: “Janice. That is LITERALLY what happened! That
is the history of our country. Last I checked, Māori WERE on an island, they
were left to it, and then Pākehā (Māori term for white New Zealanders) turned
up and look how that worked out. But thank you very much for that brilliant
insight. Goodness me. Unbelievable. Unbelievable, they actually-“
Female co-host: “Actually, you can’t even get angry, you
just actually need to laugh and then screw it up and put it under the desk.
Just when you thought-“
Male co-host: (mimicking letter) “’Put them all on an
island, leave them to it.’ Yeah. What a great idea that is Janice.
I really need “What a great idea that is, Janice.” to be a meme filled with those stupid complete cognitive dissonance bigoted statements.
I’m already seeing people complain about about the 2019 Addams Family movie having ugly designs. Guys you do know that original designs where supposed to be kinda ugly?
The whole point of The Addams Family is they go against societies expectations, they’re not going to care what people say is supposed to be cute or attractive. They’re happy as they are, and they’re considered weird for not caring what people think how they look. THAT WAS THE POINT OF THE COMICS.
Sure they’re even more exaggerated towards looking gruesome now, but I think that’s kind of needed to drive in the point.
I know in the fandom Gomez and Mortica are mostly seen as a hot attractive goth couple nowadays, which is probably why so many people are disappointed. But I for one would really love to see a married couple who don’t live up to the impossible standards of hollywood beauty, be madly in love with each other and aren’t shy about expressing it.
THIS IS WHY THEY TAKE A KNEE! Fck these bitch ass cops
I know the racist white folks always think that taking a knee is about white people when in actuality it is about police brutality from any officer no matter the race.
Here’s more Polaris tweets. I actually took these a week ago and never got around to posting them, so there’s new stuff out there that’ll come out next time.
Two of a number of tweets I found that essentially said Polaris’ team and her leading that team is something they love and would rather see instead of the teen O5. I think the fact X-Men Blue is more visible compared to how buried All-New X-Factor was is why we’re seeing a lot of people talking about the team.
On the flipside, these two complaints from the same person.
It shows that people are keeping a very watchful eye on how Lorna is treated by Marvel, and that there’s definitely a general feel beyond just me that Marvel isn’t really doing Lorna justice. Even a little suspicion that Marvel is deliberately undermining her at times.
Also this case of someone asking for more female-led books, and naming Lorna alongside other female characters that Marvel typically sees as “much better and more deserving of respect” than Lorna.
Multiple more recent requests and comparisons of Lorna and Wanda, and asking for more with them.
Personally, I also like the tweet about Lorna’s original green costume because it’s an explicit mention of how important that is for her character. Most people don’t really talk about it much because it’s “her default.” That leaves people who don’t like it and want it changed into something radically different that would make her unrecognizable to casual readers into the most commonly seen voice.
Flipside, here’s a case of someone wanting Lorna more than Pietro (well, “Peter”) in the films.
This is where I’ll go on record and say that 1) I’m perfectly fine with Quicksilver in the films instead, and 2) I feel Lorna and Pietro’s possibilities often don’t get the attention they deserve, including from me.
Also someone (mutual follow now) wishing Lorna was in the MCU, as another films element.
A little more taste of how far interest in Lorna has spread. She’s among top 5 X-Men women for one person, and viewed as a highly inspirational and uplifting example to cite by another.
Marvel should really be keeping the latter in mind when writing Lorna. That there are people out there who are deeply moved by the character, meaning she’s not the throwaway nobody some at Marvel think she is.
People are pretty open to the idea of Lorna being a lesbian, though as has been pointed out to me before, bi would be more appropriate given her relationship history.
I also just plain find it interesting and cool that people are specifically thinking of Lorna when they bring up these ideas. They could’ve gone with all sorts of other characters and Lorna is the one that came to mind.
This is the last one I have. There’s always talk from people about loving the Gifted version of Lorna, but this tweet is a good reminder that there are a lot of big Polaris fans out there that don’t like or care about the live action TV version. Gifted isn’t the final word on who Lorna should be, in other words.
I think it also kinda works in conjunction with all the other tweets about wanting a solo movie for Lorna, wanting her in the X-Men films, wanting her in the MCU, etc. If people were satisfied with the Gifted version, they wouldn’t be asking for a film version, or they’d at least note that they want film Lorna to be Gifted version or played by Emma Dumont.
And so ends another episode of Polaris Tweet Theater!
I had a longer post on this, but I made it private because I felt like it was overly long and read too much like a teardown. Started to feel guilty about that as I thought more about how it could be read.
An announcement that Bunn’s doing a new book in the Fall has led to speculation that X-Men Blue is ending by then.
Right now, I’m fairly indifferent to the idea of Blue ending.
The book has gotten better about treatment of Polaris than it was in earlier issues, but it really only feels okay or passable. The improvements made in more recent issues are undermined by three things: 1) most of them are things that are common for Lorna, 2) Lorna’s potential is never realized, and 3) things with Lorna were still treated like they were lesser elements to putting Havok and/or Magneto (moreso Havok lately) on a pedestal.
There was a lot of potential in Lorna as a mentor because of her history with Jean Grey and Iceman shortly after the time the teen versions were pulled from, but Blue never once used that. There was a lot of potential with Malice, but that was a tiny subplot and over in no time. During Mojo, Bunn could’ve used Genosha which is shared history for Polaris and Magneto, but instead he focused on Mutant Massacre, an entirely Magneto-centric element.
What recent issues of Blue managed to do was make me not hate Lorna on the book anymore and not be adamant that she needs to be off of it. What they didn’t do was make me think Blue needs to keep going and Lorna needs to stay on it.
For me to care whether or not Blue continues, in the “I want it to keep going” way, I would need to feel like it’s doing great things for Lorna. I’d need to feel like it’s doing things to move her forward, or reaching important milestones she’s never had before.
Nothing about Blue has made me feel that way. Earlier issues felt like they were going backward and undoing her progress. More recent issues feel like they’re simply maintaining a status quo, including the toxic one of “Lorna is inferior to Havok.” Lorna’s value and potential feel wasted on Blue because Blue doesn’t use them.
Maybe my feelings will change by the end. But at this moment, I wouldn’t be very deeply affected by Blue ending.
The main thing it would do is make me concerned about where she is after Blue, and it could lead to me complaining about how she’s nowhere to be seen in October for her 50th anniversary. But that’s a separate issue from whether or not I’m bothered by Blue, specifically, ending.
