Not sure how I missed this last year, but glad I’m seeing it now.

About a month ago, I had an idea for a Polaris-centric Magnus family mini-comic. I’ve been able to afford paying for commissions of Polaris stuff, but I know I wouldn’t be able to afford something on this scale. For that reason, I’ve decided to post the idea as I wrote it down a month ago.

The idea is essentially an emotional criticism of how Marvel keeps destroying or refusing to use all of Lorna’s family and friend connections, and all the potential they have to offer.

Panel 1: Polaris happily approaching Wanda, who has her arms outstretched ready to accept a hug. Lorna: “Wanda! I’m so glad to see you!”
Panel 2: As soon as Lorna puts her arms around Wanda, Wanda’s body dissipates into red smoke and energy. Lorna: “!?”
Panel 3: Pietro appears to be speeding toward Lorna from the side, as Lorna turns and opens her arms to greet him for a hug. Lorna: “Pietro!”
Panel 4: Only Pietro’s costume reaches her; the rest of him seems to speed by like gusts of wind. Lorna’s really starting to look sad here.
Panel 5: Dark silhouette Magneto fair distance behind Lorna. Lorna’s starting to turn around toward him, looking over her shoulder. Lorna: “… Father?”
Panel 6: Magneto’s helmet, cape, armor, etc collapse into a heap on the ground with green electricity sizzling around it.
Panel 7: Zoomed out shot; Lorna on her knees in despair, surrounded by costumes and items associated with her lost family (and a lot of empty space); e.g. crashed model plane for the plane crash, maybe extend to Bobby and include melting ice or Jean and include her Marvel Girl costume. Lorna: “Gone… they’re all gone…”

X-Men ‘92 Thoughts

An issue of this comic came out today that includes Polaris as part of X-Factor. These are my thoughts. I’m not bothering to go very in-depth this time. Also, fair warning, I’m biased and not very positive about things here. Marvel can be thanked for that.

About Quicksilver, he’s a part of X-Factor in 90s cartoon so it’s clearly editorial reason that this issue has lack of him. And it’s no wonder because Marvel want to keep him being just a other characters’ (especially Wanda’s) stepping stone.

Strange, my notifications decided not to tell me you reblogged this post. Guess I’ll have to keep a closer eye on my posts outside the notifications.

I definitely get that feeling about Marvel’s attitude toward Pietro too. I think because Pietro is seen as more promoted and better handled by Fox than Marvel in the MCU, Marvel decided to avoid making much use of him. He’s still getting a lot more use than Lorna given that he’s on Uncanny Avengers and all, but it’s a far cry from what could be with him.

As much as I loved Lorna’s depiction in Secret Wars: House of M, I also acknowledge Pietro was needlessly screwed over there. I kept expecting that we’d find out Pietro was playing Namor both to show his own cunning to his father and to revive that warrior spirit that Magneto kept yearning for. Instead, we got “Pietro is a power-hungry spoiled kid because reasons.”

Cherik Sounds of the music AU! – Charles was teaching literature at a christian school but at the same time secretly teaching his students about biology and evolution so he was kicked out of the school. Sister Moira helped him find his new job as a governor/private tutor at Lensherr household. There he meets Capt. Erik and his six children(three adopted and three his own). Charles quickly finds out that in this household the first rule is indeed discipline, but that rule will soon come to change.
