Magneto’s not Lorna’s real dad
X-Men #52, January 1969
According to that storyline, yeah. But Lorna’s introductory storyline was all about establishing how she’s Magneto’s daughter, and making the struggle between following in her father’s footsteps or doing the right thing into her central focus.
When reading the issues directly, it becomes clear there must have been some sort of editorial demand to retcon her relationship with her father, and we saw how much that retcon has hurt her even up to today. She still has a lot of trouble getting due respect for her long history with Marvel and the X-Men franchise.
I’m not attacking you if it looks that way, graymalkin; I know you’re just posting panels and pages. 🙂 I’m just informing for people who don’t know all this.

From X-Men (2004) #177:
Some post m-day realizations. Once an x-man, always an x-man.
Dare to trust a Mutant?
What I love about these is how so many fans are weaving an idea of an added Lorna in with other characters that have already been in the films. It’s cool to me when fans fill in their own wants and needs when the companies aren’t filling them.

Here’s a hint that Iceman was gay. He NEVER slept with Polaris.
Does that make Polaris a lesbian then? After all she didn’t sleep with him 🙂
Two things here! One, you could read into Lorna’s statement that she did have sex with Bobby, but that it was unsatisfying – which, oddly enough, you could also take as playing into Iceman being gay. If he’s not actually into it, then trying to “play the part” may not be satisfying for either party.
Two, we know for sure Lorna had sex with Alex in space… but that could easily be read as either 1) Lorna is bi, or 2) he was the only person around she was comfortable having sex with. Point #2 is part of how Lorna really had no real choice for a partner besides Alex out there, and the situation practically forced her into it. She’s isolated, away from everyone and everything she knows, with no control over where she goes. What are her options, really?

So Iceman is gay? Don’t tell Polaris…
But Havok will be happy…
That is, until Lorna reveals to Havok that SHE’S gay, and has been secretly dating Jean Grey (not past Jean) telepathically since her supposed “death.”
Cue the big return of Jean.
