Nice to see a bit of green. Noting the green is in the under layers of her hair, potentially implying it’s either “natural hair growing out” for the character or that Lorna the character only dyed the visible parts black.

Some exist only as short text notes, others were fleshed out with sketches. The teen angle, the sense of family, it gave new life to the x-men for me. Some ideas got appropriated into a larger x-men story, and Jubilee became a firm favourite.
I’m shifting focus to other projects, more personal ones.You should watch aeon flux. Trust me.

Your Secret Empire tie-in brings Polaris and Emma Frost
into the book. Can you talk at all about their dynamics with your team
and your takes on them? Is Emma a villain, in the traditional sense of
the word?I don’t think anything is traditional about Emma. She is certainly an
antagonist for the X-Men in the series, and she has some dirty tricks
up her sleeve — but I still don’t see her as a villain, really. She’s in
a dark place right now. She has been for some time. I would love to see
her come out of that, but it will take time, and her grief and anger
may be guiding her for awhile.As for Polaris, I don’t want to say much about her role in the book. Not yet.
In addition to Polaris and Emma, my Secret Empire tie-in
will be bringing several fan-favorite X-characters back to the comics.
Some of them have been gone for some time, some will be changed a bit
when they show back up.
It’s overall smart of Bunn not to want to talk about Lorna or her role yet.
In the specific sense of Marvel comics, he can’t guarantee anything. I’ve pointed out many times before that he said Lorna would appear in the third or fourth arc of Uncanny X-Men, only for that to never happen. Most he managed to do was have Sabretooth talk about how she smells.
Basically, people above him at Marvel can tell him to throw away his own plans and do something else entirely. Under ordinary circumstances, I’d even say there’s a good chance Marvel would force Bunn and Paniccia to back out of using her on X-Men Blue for an appearance, but they made it a major announcement at C2E2. I think that just might be big enough for Marvel not to be able to back out of.
Outside of that, I’ve seen a fair number of people complaining that Fox’s Gifted TV show hasn’t yet shown Lorna with green hair, or said anything about Magneto being her father. There’s only the show’s premise, some teases and one short clip to go on, but some people are already upset based on knowing very little. It might be better for Bunn not to say anything for right now since saying anything could open his plans up to complaints before he could show what he’s doing.
There’s also response to Secret Empire, but of what I’ve seen so far, Bunn seems to be on the wrong side of it. Which is understandable. He works for Marvel. He can’t exactly pop out and condemn his employer. There aren’t many bridges available to burn in comics. In any case, Bunn saying much might slip into the same backlash Secret Empire is rightfully receiving.
Days 9-10 of MerMay! Day 9 was “shellphone” and Day 10 was “Marvel”, so I drew my favorite Marvel character, Polaris. 🙂
