Summary:

Lorna Dane’s mutant powers reawaken through a painful device at Mesmero’s behest. When she comes out of it, she has a choice: remain a meek girl or save her heroes.

Polaris 50th Anniversary Hashtag: Ideas?

Almost a week ago, I asked if there should be a Twitter hashtag made specifically for Polaris’ 50th anniversary. Eight out of ten people said yes.

Next question becomes, what hashtag is best?

My initial thought was #Polaris50. It has a handful of uses, but not enough to be a “hijacking” of a hashtag, and most recent use was January 21. I also think it’s short enough to get use. But, you’d also have to know what the hashtag means already.

@aka-vinny suggested 

#50YearsofPolaris and #Polaris50thAnniversary on the Tumblr post I made about Twitter hashtags. They have no uses yet, and they’re clearer on the purpose of the hashtag, but I feel like they might be too long.

Anyone have any thoughts about hashtags? These hashtags? Suggestions for something different?

Okay peeps, you have until I finish editing the latest chapter of my Polaris anniversary fic to suggest something else, cause I’m going with something to tweet it out.

P.S. I went with #Polaris50. We’ll see what happens. I figure worst case scenario, if nobody else uses it, it at least becomes an easy way to see what I did for the 50th.

The first errand for a kid is actually culturally relevant; in Japan, there’s this show called hajimete no otsukai, which is “My First Errand”. It’s basically camera crews secretly following kids and filming their first errands, sometimes alone, sometimes with siblings. It’s been going on forever; I remember watching clips of it in Japan. 

It’s also effing adorable and I need to go lie down.

I’ve noticed follower drop-off over the past several months. I’ve assumed they were all people deliberately unfollowing me, including some people who had been following me for a while. But while looking at someone else’s account, they said they discovered Tumblr had somehow made their account unfollow people.

If I was following you and it appears I’ve suddenly unfollowed, and there appears to be no reason for it, you can reach out and ask – or follow me again if you find Tumblr had you unfollow me out of nowhere too.
