X-Men Blue #9 cover… Lorna! Amazing Arthur Adams work!

Glad they’ve got the shiny metal look to it. And the whole “rings on straps linking to cape, weight of cape keeping the torso up” approach is one I’ve liked for years.

Lorna looks so young here… hm…

I noticed as well. I’m withholding any assumptions and judgment until I have more information at least.

Before we had a cover and knew she was coming, I warned that a return for her could be a time-displaced Polaris or a de-aged Polaris or an AU Polaris.  By that same token, Lorna looking young here could simply be an effect of art style. Or it could be to part of the homage, emphasizing the youthful vibrance of the original cover while Lorna in the issue proper may not look that young.

I’m basically giving the same warning against jumping to conclusions that I gave when people saw Emma Dumont with black/dark hair and kept asking where the green hair was. It could be exactly how it looks, or it could be better or worse than we think.

Which also isn’t saying time-displaced/deaged/AU Lorna would be bad per se. It’s just not what a vast majority of people want when Polaris has been in forced limbo for two years with absolutely no sign of where she’s been.

Here’s a sketch WIP of a pretty big thing that I’m working on. It should be done by May 3rd. Content hint: We have the Maximoffs, Lorna Dane, and Ben Grimm together (and there are more people in the full shot). What do they has in common?

DO YOU REMEMBER when Polaris was possessed by a mutant named Malice? She was like… a tanker! Hahaha! So, I did a quick work about it.
It will be on sale by Cosmotrama Studio! 🙂

While I’m not one for generic team outfits, and I think Claremont’s treatment of Polaris was mostly terrible (though I do want it to be revisited and given a big overhaul into being a good thing), this specific piece is great work on your part!
