Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Wave: Invisible Woman with H.E.R.B.I.E teaser

Someone got this image out of SDCC for Death of X.

Theoretically, the woman on the third panel of the first page could be Polaris. She’s been drawn with similarly curly hair, as I’m showing in the other images here.

Realistically, it’s highly unlikely to be Lorna. It’s far more likely to be Shadowcat.

Meanwhile, in the second panel, there’s a character on the left. That might be Havok. The only reason I say “might” is because the straps on the side go toward the neck, whereas all the Havok costumes I’ve seen have them middle or higher.

If it IS Havok, and the other character isn’t Polaris, then I’m annoyed. It will be yet another in a long list of signs and reminders of how Claremont screwed Lorna over, how it benefited Havok to where he gets to be included in stuff like this while she isn’t, and how Lorna is still excluded from stuff she should be taking part in to this day. Bunn already established that Havok’s been held back for a purposeful, important reason, but when it comes to Lorna, we’ve only heard that she’ll pop up at some point.

There isn’t even the benefit of “She’s been held back for important franchise reasons to be used later.” She’s just in limbo with at best maybe a single story arc on the way because she’s been screwed over for decades and Marvel can’t be bothered to even try to give her a real chance.

To reiterate: this is not a complaint about Bunn. This is a complaint about Marvel. This has been going on since long before Bunn started writing for Marvel.
