A relic from back when this blog was here to showcase an X-Men fan comic. This was meant to be the first cover page, but alas, it will never be finished now. It’s too old at this point, too much I would change and my inking style is completely different now. Only ever got to flat colors. Didn’t even give Wolverine all his body hair.

The first chapter was supposed to be about Kitty arriving to the Xavier School, and having just developed her powers and learned about mutants, she’s extremely alarmed by how… different a lot of them are. So the cover is an exaggerated version of her feelings on that. Lorna is a teenager in the comic too, so Kitty clings to her as someone she can relate to.

It’s a shame it never got finished, but I understand how that goes.

Gymnastics has come a long compared to that old footage, but this difference is particularly significant for black girls! Because they have never taken seriously our abilities! Just because the color of our skin is not what they want to see!

Simone Biles’s fantastic performance has been covered by many news outlets all these years! Now we can see the real difference!

It’s like a metaphor of what millenials have to do to get jobs vs baby boomers lol

I was debating whether to reblog but that last comment did it for me
