This is the reason why Magneto did what he did. He saved his daughter
and going to sacrifice himself. It look like he’s going to die. At
least Polaris is going to live and it’s the reason why he did the
unacceptable, but there were no other choice. And no, Polaris is not
depowered otherwise Marvel was better off killing her, but they didn’t
(and there is a reason why Marvel didn’t killed her) as some people here
stated with their “theory”  a while ago.

The possibility that Lorna got depowered there is not a “theory,” it’s a theory. I’m not telling anyone they have to believe it, and I’m not saying it’s necessarily true either. I’m saying it’s POSSIBLE, and that it’s important to keep an eye out in case it is.

That’s all.

When he says “Your gifts… become MINE,” that specific line reads like he’s saying he’s taking her powers, BUT, there is still enough vagueness for it to be false. As such, it can go either way. I explicitly said this in my post. I am obviously very happy she’s not dead, which I was worried might happen, but we have no conclusive proof yet she was or wasn’t depowered.

The “Lorna is Briar” theory: You either didn’t read my post when I made it, or are deliberately mangling what I said. I said it once. ONCE. And for that ONE TIME I said it, I said it was both ONE OF SEVERAL theories and EXTREMELY UNLIKELY. Yet, you make it out to be something I thought with absolute certainty was guaranteed to happen, and you make it sound like I went around spouting it off for months.

Avengers vs X-Men: So you’re glad she wasn’t in it. Okay then. That’s fine. Your opinion is your own. That doesn’t mean I have to be fine with it, and it doesn’t mean I have to consider it acceptable just because you do.

Axis: The problem here is representation. My concern isn’t the quality of Axis, my concern is that 1) Marvel decided to be dickish enough to try to make Enchantress look more like Lorna on a variant cover paired with Wanda instead of actually using Lorna, and 2) that the cover for All-New X-Factor #14, the cover that ACTUALLY showed Lorna and Wanda together, was withheld until a week before release while this was happening.

Children’s Crusade: Present day Lorna not showing up WAS NOT THE ISSUE. The issue was how Marvel went so far in trying to erase her from the family at that time, they even REDREW A PORTRAIT FROM HOUSE OF M just to remove her. EVERYONE ELSE WAS IN THE PORTRAIT EXCEPT LORNA. It wasn’t just that Lorna wasn’t around, it wasn’t just that they didn’t think about her, it was that they even wanted to remove her from having ever been a part of a major Magnus family event she was a meaningful part of.

Conclusion. You’re the second person now to take things I’ve said and twist them, fabricate things I never said and suggest I did things that never happened, all in a bid to badmouth me and say I’m “not a true Polaris fan.” But if you’re going to do all that just because you don’t like the thought that Marvel might do things that are bad for Lorna, then you’re no Polaris fan. A real fan of a character doesn’t launch smear campaigns full of outright lies and twisting of the truth on other fans of that character just because they don’t like what those other fans are saying.

I am perfectly fine with you disagreeing with me, but I am not okay with you making up shit about me or twisting things I’ve said and done to sound dumb or heinous. I WILL block you if that happens again, and I don’t care if you don’t care. This is my only warning.

I will like to begin by asking you to please stop derailing my review here cause I don’t jump in to yours and the reason I don’t is because I’m not interested. You so POSITIVE since Polaris got depowered twice that it’s POSSIBLE she got depowered again. Really, all you can think and say is negative stuff like you were trying to say and derailed Duchra review about Polaris and only because Dechra was being Positive about Lorna. You’re doing the same thing here.

It’s obvious if I’m the second person to take things you’ve said is because you don’t have anything good to say, but always bringing bad thoughts about Marvel this and Marvel that just like Storm this and Storm that. Let me remind you Marvel is not treating Lorna bad as much as Marvel treated the whole X-Men and that is the truth.

I don’t think Magneto sucked all her power. I don’t think that Polaris will be completely depowered by Magneto’s siphoning. The main reason is Magneto telling his daughter that she “still has something to offer this world”. Don’t think he would say that if he knew he was going to leave her utterly powerless, an ordinary human.

I never said I was happy she was not in AVX. I say her appearing in AvX was completely good and that I was happy she was not in the whole book because all the X-men was treated like crap and it’s true. Plus why are you saying Polaris was not in AVX? Here are images from AVX

And trust me she was not treated badly here. She was perfect compared to the whole X-Men combined.

Axis was the least and she shouldn’t be in it. Everyone knows the reason for this. But you seem to not be happy because Polaris was not dragged together with Quicksilver and Magneto where they were bad written. I was happy with her tie in and that she was not involved. I have no complain whatsoever.

I don’t know what Portrait you’re talking about, but better not be the fanart because Polaris is in every portrait of House of M. Just like a while ago you came saying “Oh my god Marvel put Polaris behind Magneto and the twins I mean, really? Be happy Marvel included her even if she was behind. You even mentioned before that you are afraid that Polaris won’t have a big part in the new House of M coming up and oops, There is a House of M cover with Polaris in the front and indicating she will be playing a big part in the new House of M. You always say things so then make yourself look wrong. That’s not me who’s making you look wrong that’s you putting yourself there.

You also keep saying about Claremont this and that who reduced her characterization in favor of Storm. Always downgrading Polaris and giving Storm all the props and this it’s hard for me to believe that you are a fan of Polaris. People can go to Comic Book Resources and see the “Appreciation” Lorna Dane thread and you are usually downgrading her characterization together with JMC247. The reason why I don’t be there because it’s full of haters and hypocrites. And I find it hard to believe you people are such fans of Lorna Dane. Especially that you think Marvel should’ve never gave the code name Polaris to Lorna. To you was better Magnetrix or something like that. Seriously you find everything wrong with what Marvel do or give to Polaris, but the reality is that Marvel is treating the X-Men worst than Polaris. And Polaris sounds better than Magnetrix or what ever.

Truly you can’t say the same thing about me not being a true Polaris fan because I never downgrade Polaris and always being positive no matter how bad you think it look to you. I don’t go to your review of Polaris and derail it despite how much I disagree with you. I just create mine with my OWN opinion just like you and everyone else does.

It is not a “review” to spend a whole post DEDICATED to making up things about me, twisting things I said, and fabricating things I never did. It doesn’t matter that you didn’t explicitly name me, that’s still EXACTLY what you did, and you know it.

By the way, I haven’t been on ComicBookResources for MONTHS now. I left six months ago. For you to have seen ANY of my posts, you would’ve had to be there back in January. To have actually read a SIGNIFICANT number of my posts, enough to get any kind of impression of me – especially one as vicious and volatile as you display here – you would’ve had to watch the thread for longer than that.

And then, you went from acting like a friendly follower of a couple months to lying about me and twisting things I said to try to make me look bad in about zero seconds flat. And show no remorse for having done so whatsoever.

Which leads me to one conclusion: you are LoganAlpha from CBR, and dechra is an alt account you created to add to your smear campaign. Hi Logan.

I’m not taking this private because this is going to be my last discourse with you. At least under this name; we’ll see if you create another account and follow me with it.

I’m also well aware of your real intentions whenever you claim to be a Polaris fan: pushing Lorna back down into only being Havok’s girlfriend. On CBR as LoganAlpha, you’re a lot more obvious – badmouthing Lorna being a leader of her own team before the first issue of ANXF even released, insisting her spending time with Magneto will just put her in Magneto’s shadow, disparaging her spending time with Wanda and Pietro.

Here, you’re playing the “Marvel can do no wrong” card because if Marvel really does depower and undermine her, it makes it that much more likely she’ll revert back to “she’s Havok’s token girlfriend” as her sole identity. It’s in your interests to undermine me and any steps I take to combat Marvel keeping Lorna down.

And now with this post, I’m going to do on Tumblr exactly what I did toward you on CBR: ignore you. Because I’m not here to fight with you, I’m here to support Lorna, encourage Lorna fandom, and push Marvel to use her more and treat her better.

You will not stop me from doing that. I’m going to do everything in my power to keep the cycle that’s held her back for decades from repeating this time, and I’ll overcome any obstacles necessary to make that happen.
