please stop posting cosplay pictures unless you can credit the cosplayers because it is rude as hell to the people who spend months making a costume and then not be mentioned when spreading it around online. (rule of thumb, unless you took the photo and don’t know who they are, don’t post it without credits!!! or at least try and find them!!!!!)

I try to give credit where I can, which is why I always try to at least give a link for people to follow to get more information. In cases where the link I give provides more detailed information on the cosplayers, I’ve assumed people can follow the link to see all those details.

However, now that you raise the issue, I do see that I could do more for the cosplayers when I post pictures.

It would be better to include their names directly on my Tumblr reposts, in case people don’t go to the link or the link destination gets taken down at some point. I could also try to use Google reverse image search for pictures I find without cosplayer attribution. I’ll try to do that in the future. It may not pan out at times, though, since there are times where you get tons of links and can only manage to check the top results.

If I post a cosplay picture in the future where I don’t have and can’t find the cosplayer information, but you know it, then please pass the info along so I can update the post.

Now, I should mention that if I can’t find attribution anywhere at all, then I’ll still post it. I’ll hope someone does pass along attribution info, but a lack of it won’t stop me from posting. On the flipside, if a cosplayer wants me to remove and/or not link to one of their cosplay photos, I’ll take my post down. I’ll be incredibly disappointed, but that’s how some people are. I’ve had to keep quiet on a lot of absolutely amazing Japanese fanart for characters and series that get next to no love because the artists don’t want their work shared with anyone. I literally have a folder of cool male-to-female genderswap Arc the Lad art I can never post.

Magneto #18 unlettered preview

The second page is probably a flashback to Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1 #6.

I’m looking forward to Lorna’s coming time on Magneto. The book’s been great from the start, and I think Cullen Bunn’s shown he really cares about doing justice to the characters he writes.

I’m also very glad to finally see Lorna in her iconic costume again after going several years stuck in team outfits.
