This…is an interesting concept…..

I think the original idea for Venom would’ve been far more interesting. The original idea was for Venom’s host to be a pregnant woman. That got nixed by editorial because sexism. One of Spider-Man’s most truly formidable opponents, a woman instead of a man like him? How absurd! /sarcasm

Favorite Marvel Family: The Maximoff clan Earth-616. I love how their little catfights end the moment one is crossed. Especially Tommy and Uncle Pete. Never mind they’re respective twins are the most powerful entities on the earth. No, they have to save them.

Max Eisenhardt: Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (Affiliation)
Pietro Maximoff: Quicksilver (Avengers Academy, Avengers, X-Factor)
Wanda Maximoff: The Scarlet Witch (Avengers Unity Division, Avengers)
Lorna Dane: Polaris (X-Factor Investigations, X-Men, X-Factor)
Thomas ‘Tommy’ Shepherd: Speed (Young Avengers, Avengers)
William ‘Billy’ Kaplan: Wiccan (Young Avengers, Avengers)

Was that “Black Widow is a slut” post actually serious? Shouldn’t you be against slut shaming if you’re such a hardcore feminist?

peppermonster:

I’m making fun of all the people flipping out at Jeremy and Chris for their interview where Jeremy jokingly called BW a slut. People are flipping out. Bitch sleeps with me and kills them. That’s what she does. Read comics. Clint is also a complete man-whore in the comics. It’s called irony. It’s funny. People need to get the fuck over it.

This fandom is full of over-reacting idiots. It’s painful.

There are times in fandom where I think some fans try to handwave legitimate concerns as overreacting, BUT then there are other times where I think fans really do overreact. I’ve seen cases where people claimed something going on with covers is no big deal just because they didn’t want to say anything bad about Marvel, yet there are other cases where people assumed the worst about a cover that isn’t bad at all if you think it through.

It really goes both ways. That’s why it’s important to try to look deeper than the surface for everything and question assumed opinions from time to time.

Astonishing X-Men #62

The things X-Men reminisce about at get-togethers like it’s totally normal… But their lives are so crazy, I guess for them it is.

I loved Marjorie Liu’s casual playful Lorna. I really wish she’d had more issues of that arc so we could’ve seen Lorna and Nurse Annie talk to each other. A lot of interesting things could’ve been done there.

This was also a good precursor to Lorna and Gambit interacting on All-New X-Factor. It set a good tone.
