*slides Bryan Singer 20 dollars* so how about putting polaris in apocalypse
There are theories that Lorna may be one of the Horsemen. If there’s no other way for Lorna to be in the film, then I really hope that’s the case.
But, however Lorna’s defeated in such a state if she is a Horseman needs to be fair and reasonable; I don’t want some character to come along and do her in with just about no effort.
Everyone forgets about the other Maximoff sibling.
Lorna Dane. You know, Polaris.
…
Wanda and Pietro’s half-sister with the green hair. And she has Magneto’s magnetism powers. And she was always crazy half the time. Just when she’s crazy, it’s not nearly as dangerous as when Wanda’s crazy…sooo she could always be half crazy.
Honestly though, always thought it was sweet how Pietro was really trying to be her brother too all the time.
(though with the Wanda/Pietro retcon into not being Magneto’s kids, I guess Lorna’s the one Maximoff kid now…)
I consider the forced retcon completely invalid, especially because it’s obvious Disney and Marvel only did it because they’re pissy about Fox having the film rights to the X-Men franchise.
As far as I’m concerned, Marvel stopped writing Wanda and Pietro shortly before Axis, and anything written of them from here on out until the forced retcon is undone is literally not them.

Watch For…

Secret Wars House of M
We’ve seen Lorna on a couple covers now, and the MODOK cameo above alongside those covers makes the chances of her having a meaningful role in this HoM very promising. But, we haven’t seen any definitive proof yet in the form of pages or solicits, so we don’t know yet if she’ll be in it or how much. This is why I put it in its own “Watch For” category.
Release dates are hard for me to pin down. I see one for August 19th for House of M #1.
All of these awesome works of art are by Brandon Peterson, posted to his blog. I’m only posting the ones I personally like most, but he has a lot more on his blog, men and women alike.
3rd Birthday really, really doesn’t even count. Objectively, the name alone isn’t Parasite Eve 3, meaning it’s just a random terrible game with a fanfic level story worse than most of the worst fanfics ever written. Subjectively, the game is so blatantly and deliberately insulting toward both Parasite Eve and Aya Brea that it doesn’t deserve to be called part of the Parasite Eve franchise even if Squeenix says it is.
It’s like if all new writers are given permission to write Lord of the Rings books, radically changing characters in ways Tolkien clearly would’ve hated, but people insisted that those new books count. Yeah, in a very technical sense they might, but realistically they really don’t and shouldn’t count as LotR books.
People who have the rights to work on something using that opportunity to deliberately ruin the source material shouldn’t be given the false legitimacy of people saying what they did is valid. It should be called and treated as exactly what it is, a bad fanfic game that has no bearing on the actual canon.
Storm kicks so much ass. (X-Men #97 – Feb 1976)
*When another woman is rewritten and reduced as a character for the primary purpose of being jobbed by her
I wouldn’t mind if there was a legitimate fight here or if some very extenuating circumstances were in the works (e.g. Polaris doesn’t want to fight her), but most of the time this stuff is just “Current writer has a fetish for a specific character, decides to make other characters lesser and weaker as a sacrificial offering to their favorite.”
Most of Claremont’s use of Lorna fits this bill.
