Reminder that Polaris, who finally had her origin story told in 2014 (44 years after her creation), had the story of her awakening powers causing a plane crash that killed her parents. And that Dark Phoenix is basically taking that from Lorna to apply to Jean with cars.

Remember this. Because although this is a Fox film, it’s in keeping with Marvel’s nasty habit of taking things from Lorna, applying them to other characters they like more, and then never using that aspect of Lorna’s character and pretending it never happened.

Lorna Dane has a physics degree. Therefore, fics about her should have more physics jokes. I am probably the only one that cares about this, but THIS MATTERS TO ME DAMMIT.

For a while, I used to go through Maxwell’s equations in my head when I was anxious until I calmed down. I refuse to believe Lorna doesn’t do that.

I suspect she goes through a lot of things nobody else does. For one thing, she really does have X-Ray vision. Wink wink.

This was in the issue of Blue put out today.

This is a good final moment for Lorna on the book. Much better than what I thought was her final moment, the Havok-focused one from months ago.

If things had gone better for her use on Blue, this would have been a good lead-in to Lorna leading a new school and team. Take a bit of her experience with Genosha, and her mix of Xavier and Magneto philosophies, and you have something good to work with. Danger would’ve been a good member of a team led by Lorna.
