The 3rd Birthday. It was just so disappointing to play after liking the first parasite eve games so much.
Never played 3rd Birthday, never will, and it’s one of those games I will never accept as “canon” no matter what the company that owns the rights to it claims. Everything about it was downright insulting to Aya Brea and Parasite Eve, and if Squeenix ever cared one bit about quality or doing the right thing, they’d make a new Parasite Eve/Aya Brea game that sets things right.
Parasite Eve is a 1998 action role-playing survival horror video game developed and published by Square. The game is a sequel to the novel Parasite Eve, written by Hideaki Sena. It is the first game in the Parasite Eve series. The game follows New York City police officer Aya Brea over a six-day span in 1997 as she attempts to stop the monster that is causing people to spontaneously combust, with the goal of sparking the creation of a creature that will destroy the human race.
