That comparison was wrong and terrible of me, and I shouldn’t have made it. I was in rant mode, and right before I made that comparison, I had Trump and all the horrible things likely to come in the future on my brain.
That’s not an excuse, because nothing makes that comparison “okay.” It’s only an explanation of where my head was at. I’m sorry I made it, and I’m glad you called it out. I wish you had called it out to me directly, because this is how I learn when I’m unwittingly being awful and get to learn how to be less awful, but seeing it in any way is better than not seeing it at all.
If I make any kind of mistakes similar to this one in the future, please let me know.
