happy halloween!! here’s some redraws of Lorna and Wanda from last year and a bonus Pietro 👻
Tony: Someone lie to me and say Natasha doesn’t look better than me as me.
(( No doubt tomorrow will be busy so here’s an early Halloween post! Have a great Halloween guys!))
Awesome Magnus family Halloween pic here. Given the others, is Wanda supposed to be Splinter? 😛
I found both of these cosplay pictures on a screenrants article from 2014. I tried a google reverse image search and couldn’t find cosplayer names. If you know who they are (or are one of them), send me the info and I’ll add that attribution!
All Polaris cosplays shown here are from miss.snikt on instagram, where she posted the pictures. She also has a store if you want prints of her cosplays! http://misssnikt.storenvy.com/
The Maximoff Family!!!! (blue skin was not an option…)
Erik Lehnsherr, Lorna Dane, Wanda Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff, Tommy Shepherd, Billy Kaplan,
TJ Wagner, and Luna Maximoff!
@bikenesmith art was a great starting point ❤ ❤
Reblogging this for two reasons.
Reason #1: To show a part of Lorna’s history, and the sort of stuff she has to overcome and has overcome as a character to only finally start to be acknowledged as a character in her own right.
Reason #2: It’s more specific about what Lorna apparently studied – archaeology.
In the first few seconds I saw that bit, I was a little annoyed. With her power set, you’d expect she would be more interested in geology due to magnetic fields and various metals. But, then I realized: perhaps for Lorna, a course in geology is akin to a math whiz wasting their time on simple math courses. Perhaps she already knows from personal experience and knowledge everything she would ever need to know about the way the land, magnetic fields and various metals work.
If that’s the case, then archaeology would be more insightful and rewarding for her. It would give her a chance to understand the value and history of those things she can sense that she would never be able to pick up with her powers alone. It would give her insight on how to use her powers while doing less harm to nature and past cultural artifacts. And, when meeting with groups like the Inhumans, she would be aware that their culture has its own history that shaped who and what they are, and she needs to understand that to understand them. Something I doubt most X-Men would understand.
tl;dr While Lorna’s depiction here is bad (IMO), there are things to be pulled out of it that can be salvaged and built upon for greatness.
