when u work a job together and one of u just misses the point
ok but have you guys actually read it because I cannot stress how misleading that headline is, first of all, that is not even the title of the essay:
you may or may not agree with her but she isn’t just saying, oh, let’s not riot, she says let’s not riot because I think what we should do instead is plan our next move, as she says at some point in the essay “work for the future”, she’s not just suggesting to be ok with what’s happening:
she’s legitimately saying people should be motivated by this to get shit done, she’s really, R E A L L Y not talking about being passive
you can agree or disagree with her about riots specifically, but she says important stuff, and I don’t think it’s fair to just read that headline that share one phrase of her essay and assume that’s all there is to it, and that she’s advocating passive acceptance – she’s just suggesting trying to change things using a different approach. I support the people rioting and protesting in the US 100%, but she says valid things, too. The fact is, the orange duck is going to be president for four years, with a republican house and senate, so having a strategy for the future is essential.
I’ve only pasted the first and last paragraphs but do read the whole thing, it’s quite short and won’t take away a lot of your time. x
Protesters took to the streets Wednesday night across the U.S. to mount a rallying cry against Donald Trump’s imminent presidency. In New York City, thousands marched from Union Square to Trump Tower in Midtown. Chicago, Washington, D.C., Seattle and Boston also saw large protests. Video shows their emotional displays and powerful rallying cries.
ugh people are always so quick to call Hillary a criminal…often times without bothering to learn all that she has done (and even more so, the things she has not)
