I think about this a lot.
It’s among the highlights of her character development, and it’s absolutely deplorable that @marvelentertainment keeps acting like it never even happened.
This was a full-blown mutant genocide event where millions died all around her, she suffered through the echoes of her failure to protect them, and Marvel’s reaction is… to completely ignore it.
It’s on par with ignoring Magneto’s having gone through the Holocaust, or Wolverine’s time as a lab rat for Weapon X. Polaris should’ve been a major player in Axis. She should’ve been front and center in dealing with the Terrigen Mists, which have been poisoning and sterilizing mutants. There’s so much Marvel should have done with her, but they haven’t, because they’re biased against her and ignore things she’s been through for whatever corporate and/or personal wankery they have going on.
Cullen Bunn’s at least been able to touch on it in tiny pieces, but it’s annoying as hell that Marvel seems so invested in ignoring her and things she’s been through like this just because 1) she was undermined for decades, and 2) they don’t want Fox to know she exists and has loads of potential.
And every time I remember Marvel’s attitude here, it makes it so much easier for me to refrain from almost everything Disney and Marvel. Kinda hard to enjoy non-Polaris stuff when it keeps reminding me of the things she should be getting but never does.

Here are some more poses of my 2 favorite heroines from the Resident Evil series. Its a real shame that Jill and Claire were not in Resident Evil 7, I was really hoping to see these 2 girls team up for the very first time.the ultimate team. I decided to let my imagination run wild, just visualizing and mimicing that atmospheric environment that made the Resident Evil series such an amazing game, such as walking slowly down a dark hallway.
The funnest part was coming up with some cool gun poses, perhaps later on I will update these posters ahd I`ll throw in some BOWs to make the scene more intense. many thanks to Red Menace for sharing the campus stage, Jill and Claire models. In the near future I plan on making some animations with these models and perhaps some day make my own Resident Evil comic series.

When something is so great, call it phenomenal.
It’s a solid choice when you want to describe your new favorite thing with more syllables than just “cool.”
She’s beyond phenomenal.
