This is true only in the sense that Marvel forced a retcon to make it ‘canon’ that Wanda and Pietro are supposedly no longer Magneto’s kids anymore. Marvel only did this because they’re pissy about Fox owning the film rights (and ONLY the film rights) to the X-Men and full Magnus family.

However, it’s not something that actually fits the Marvel universe, and it’s not something a majority of fans or readers want to see. What people actually want is the full Magnus family intact and actually used.

For these reasons, I don’t see the forced retcon as valid or actual continuity. As far as I’m concerned, Marvel stopped writing Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver shortly before Axis, and All-New X-Factor may have been the last time we saw them anywhere in the 616.

There’s also alternate universes where Marvel hasn’t forced that stupid retcon yet. The original post didn’t specify what universe was being talked about.
